Bacolor, Pampanga (October 6) — Students and faculty members of Pampanga State University (PSU) – Main Campus were instructed to evacuate the premises on Monday morning following reports of an alleged bomb threat, prompting authorities to clear the campus grounds as a safety precaution.
According to initial accounts, the evacuation began earlier in the day when university personnel directed everyone to leave the area for undisclosed reasons. By noon, large groups of students had gathered near the jeepney terminal close to Puregold Bacolor, after being asked to exit the university compound.
Members of the Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) were seen assisting in escorting students and staff outside, ensuring that all areas were vacated.
As of this report, PSU’s main gates have been closed, and entry remains restricted while campus security continues to monitor the situation. Some personnel stationed at Gate 3, one of the university’s main access points, confirmed that students are not yet permitted to return until further notice.
The university and local authorities have not yet issued an official statement confirming the nature of the threat.

Pampanga State University resumes limited in-person classes after bomb threat
PAMPANGA — Pampanga State University (PSU) announced that face-to-face classes will resume on its Bacolor and Sto. Tomas campuses starting Monday, October 7, following a temporary suspension due to a bomb threat earlier today.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the university said that other regular campuses will shift to online classes, while administrative offices will operate under a work-from-home setup until further notice.
Authorities from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit were immediately deployed to inspect the area after the threat was reported. The university assured the public that safety protocols were promptly implemented and coordination with law enforcement agencies remains ongoing.
PSU also urged students and staff to stay updated through official university channels for further advisories.
