PAGASA Issues Thunderstorm Advisory for Metro Manila, Nearby Provinces

The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued a thunderstorm advisory warning of moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds across several parts of Luzon.

As of 10:35 a.m., thunderstorms are expected within the next two hours over Metro Manila, Rizal, Bataan, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Zambales (including San Marcelino, San Felipe, San Narciso, San Antonio, Subic, Castillejos, and Olongapo), and Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gabaldon, Bongabon, Laur, Carranglan, Pantabangan, Rizal, Gapan, and Palayan).

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds are currently affecting parts of Quezon (Panukulan, Burdeos, Polillo, Patnanungan, Jomalig, Infanta, and General Nakar) and Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad and Norzagaray). PAGASA said the conditions may persist within the next two hours and could spread to nearby areas.

Residents in affected regions are advised to stay alert for possible flooding and lightning strikes and to take precautionary measures against severe weather.
