#OpongPH | Severe Tropical Storm Opong continues to move westward over the Philippine Sea, packing maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h and gusts of up to 135 km/h, state weather forecasters said Thursday.
The storm is expected to make landfall over Northern Samar or northern Eastern Samar on September 26 and may intensify into a typhoon before crossing the country.

Signal No. 3 (Storm-force winds): Sorsogon, northern Masbate, Northern Samar, northern Eastern Samar.
Signal No. 2 (Gale-force winds): Eastern Batangas, southern Quezon, Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, central Samar/Eastern Samar.
Signal No. 1 (Strong winds): Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Palawan, northern Visayas, parts of Mindanao.
Authorities are urging residents in affected areas to prepare for heavy rains, strong winds, and possible flooding as the storm nears landfall.
