On October 15, the market for the question “Will Satoshi move any Bitcoin in 2025?” spiked sharply — jumping to 15% before quickly crashing back down to 5%. The brief but intense swing caused significant losses for several traders who had bet on Satoshi becoming active this year.
According to Polymarket data, one trader reportedly wagered over $13,000 on “Yes,” expecting Nakamoto to transfer Bitcoin in 2025. The value of that position later dropped by nearly 46%, resulting in an estimated $11,000 loss. Another trader faced an even larger setback, losing about $16,500 after the odds collapsed.
